Nothing like telling the truth with a little humor interlaced! Great read and thanks for sharing!

Annie

These days you have to have a sense of humor while traveling.

Shelia

Ahhh, the joy of flying in "modern" times.

Unguided

Not being a "savvy" person myself, may I kindly remind you that the link to "Savvy Cafe" is not working; you misspelled savvy, with a single "v".
peace..

Unguided

And how the heck I commented on behalf of Sheila???

Unguided

Or not! Better pay a visit to the doctor. I must admit the dotted lines "not" separating the comments are confusing.

Annie

Unguided - Thank you for alerting me to the link problem. Being over 40 is my only excuse!!
The comment line is a TypePad design flaw. I have found it a tad annoying also.
Thank you for stopping by.

September 11 was dramatic day and it should not be remembered, but I am not certain if Homeland Security, tightened security measures, etc. are the way it should be done.
After all the extra hassle that you nowdays have to go through in airports and harassment that you might get when shooting with dSLR has dropped UK and USA from my list of favorite holiday destinations.
Even when I am traveling domestically, I nowdays prefer night trains etc. where I can get without all sort of security screenings and I can read books, play with my laptops (trains have power outlets) and/or sleep, while getting to my destination.

Great read. Lays it all out. I make it a point to be nice to the crew...who have the job from hell. If passengers were less surly, (the worst part of it all,) it would be a better experience for everyone. Period. Between movies, music, and sipping rum n cokes and eating 30,000 feet above the ground...I think people should lighten up just a LITTLE bit...just maybe...

less flights and full airplanes means less chance of meeting a connection after a delay. i remember the old days when flights were half full most of the time
