New Home for Disney's Wonder

Disney Cruise Line has announced that it will be repositioning the Disney Wonder to Los Angeles from it's home port in Port Canaveral, Florida. Disney Cruise Line did a "trial" run during the last two summer seasons operating cruise itineraries to the Mexican Riviera from the West Coast on the Disney Magic. The ship always sailed full.
From a travel agent's point of view, I really understand the need for a Disney Cruise option that will include our Disneyland Parks out here in California. Paying airfare for a large family to travel to Florida before beginning their cruise can be the deal breaker for many savvy tourists here on the West Coast.
 Since Disneyland is not nearly as large as Walt Disney World in Florida, it will be nice to be able to add a cruise after 3 days of Disneyland Adventures. Disneyland is currently undergoing a major renovation in it's California Adventure Park and from what I understand, all will be revealed just about the same time as the Disney Wonder makes it's debut out here in sunny Southern California.

Disney Vacation Club

I know I promised I would keep my Disney obsession on Mickey and Me, but as I'm sure you've figured out by one of my previous posts, I lie apparently. After all the fuss about poor customer service during my Las Vegas Timeshare adventure, I wanted to share with you "the way it is suppose to be". Last night we received a phone call from Disney Vacation Club ,which we have been a member of for 12 years. They wanted to make sure we knew about their new availability here in California and the best way to contact them if we needed anything in regards to our vacation ownership. They wanted us to know about the new villas that were being built at Disney's Grand Californian, and would we like to come over and see them when they are ready for previewing. Well, of course I want to see them, are you kidding? Now keep in mind that our current membership allows us to use these new villas when they are ready. We do not have to purchase anything else, nor are they promising any big breakfast, lunch or dinner to lure us over there. You see, they know that their product will sell itself and it will do it quite quickly, so no need to play games. I will write more about the Disney Vacation Club over on Mickey and Me for those of you that are interested.

Adventures by Disney

I know I promised to keep my Disney addiction on my other blog, Mickey and Me , but I just can't help myself sometimes. Disney just keeps doing wonderful things that I feel you need to know about and this time it is totally travel related. Adventures By Disney is my topic of discussion today. It is a whole new way to travel and experience the magic that vacation is really supposed to be. I would like to be able to tell you that Mickey and his many friends will be there with you, but they must stay behind at the parks for all the "PR" that is required there. Instead, you will be accompanied by well trained and knowledgeable Disney guides. Adventures By Disney  offers a worldwide collection of incredible itineraries, featuring all the ingredients that make up some of the greatest magical adventures ever known. Imagine visiting authentic castles that are centuries old. Experience history like it was meant to be in some of the world's most amazing places. You will feel as if you are traveling alongside some of your favorite princes and princesses or maybe pirates and explorers. Discover new worlds (or old worlds all over again) like only Disney knows how. Some of the many places of adventure include Germany, France, Spain, England, Ireland, Austria, Italy, Australia, Peru, Costa Rica and several amazing destinations in the United States. I am not an expert on this subject yet, but as I learn more about Adventures By Disney I will be sure to share. My logo is done!! Jay over at Dat Money has finished my Mickey and Me logo for my other blog. Either I am easily impressed or he is a genius!!!! I think it is the latter, most definitely.

Working behind the scenes.......

When you don't see your favorite blog putting out a new post every day does that mean that your favorite blogger is just lazy? No indeed!! It means we are working hard behind the scenes to bring you a more enjoyable experience. First of all, let me remind you all that I am working diligently on my Disney blog that I hope to unveil in a few short weeks (or sooner).
I have also updated the way I offer you links to book online travel. There are now separate pages for each category such as Airfare, Hotels, or Car Rentals. This should make things simpler since I will be adding new affiliate links every day and this will eliminate the clutter.

Mickey's movin' on over...........

Okay, being the Disney freak that I am, every time I feel like sharing my own travel related stories, I always think of Disney World or Disneyland. Well, I know that people either love Disney or they don't. So, I have decided that instead of boring the people that don't love Disney (and you know who you are), I am starting my "Disney" blog under separate cover. I am currently working with my own bunch of "Imaginears" to make this a very special place, so be patient. As soon as we are up and running, I will put a link on this blog.

My belief is that all good relationships must start out with honesty.  Therefore I am going to come clean right now.....you are going to figure it out on your own eventually........I am a Disney-Aholic. Yes, I admit it. I am a Disney-Aholic. This will become very evident to you as my blog grows and my Disney passion rears it's cute little Mickey-eared head.
