When I first heard about the new Kindle, I thought, how silly is this? Well, when I noticed that it is completely sold out and that being on a waiting list probably won't get you one for Christmas, my interest was peaked! I must say this little bugger is pretty cool. I actually did some research on it, and watched a demonstration video and was very impressed. It is quite pricey at $399 but hey, so is the IPhone and everyone is buying that.
Amazon Kindle is a revolutionary portable reader that wirelessly downloads books, newspapers, magazines and blogs to a crisp high-resolution electronic paper display that looks and reads like real paper even in bright sunlight. This is just a few of it's many talents.....

I have the Sony version (about $100 cheaper) as I'm a gadget freak... It's pretty cool, lots of reasonably priced books are available, but from what I read, the Kindle has a much larger library. The Kindle's ability to use the onboard broadband card and access the bookstore directly is a huge plus and may make the additional price worthwhile since it means you don't have to link to a computer all the time. On the downside, I couldn't see readinf a newspaper on the thing, and it's a hefty subscription - and it's all monochrome...
One day, someone will make the perfect eBook, but we're not there yet.
